Particle size analysis
Offering a range of measurement techniques and wet or dry analysis, our labs are well equipped to analyse most materials. Our skilled technical staff will select the most appropriate technique for your material/system. We currently have available:
- Dynamic light scattering
- Light scattering
- Optical
- Photon correlation spectroscopy
- Electrozone sensing
- X-ray microtomography
... and can measure particles and colloids from nanometre to 2mm.
The bulk of our work is on routine characterisation of materials from all industrial sectors, however we do undertake method development for a number of customers.
Typical examples of our work are:
- Nanoparticles
- Cosmetics
- Filter debris
- Toner particles
- Inks
- Pigment
ParticlesCIC is a member of the Laser Diffraction Proficiency Testing Scheme which is designed to monitor and improve the measurements made using laser diffraction particle size analysers.
The scheme provides laboratories with a means of independently assessing their performance with various samples. This enables us to demonstrate to both customers and regulatory bodies the validity of the results produced within our laboratory.
