…is one of the ways to shorten development times!

Measuring the magnitude of repulsion and attraction between particles is fundamental to understanding the dispersion behaviour of particulate/liquid systems. Our Colloid Laboratory has the unique capability to measure the surface charge characteristics of materials in a wide range of atmospheric conditions, ranging from:

  • Nanoparticles to macroscopic objects
  • Dilute to concentrated
  • Plates to fibres
  • Hair to paper
...using three different and complementary techniques (instruments listed in our downloadable brochure).

We have experience of measuring:

  • Pigments
  • Suspensions
  • Emulsions
  • Stability studies
